In a Naw-Rúz message to the friends in Iran, the Supreme Institution reflects on “historic and recent endeavours” to assist societal transformation, in Iran and throughout the world.
The Supreme Institution has granted permission for two of its members to retire from serving on the House of Justice at Riḍván 2023.
The Universal House of Justice has sent a magnificent message of comfort and confirmation to the believers in Iran, in which it condemns the “the unrelenting injustice and cruelty” being endured by the friends and extols their noble response.
The Universal House of Justice has shared news regarding the construction of the Shrine of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá, following the setback three months ago when an accidental fire on the site caused considerable damage.
The Universal House of Justice writes: “… the believers know well that whatever storms lie ahead, the ark of the Cause is equal to them all.”

In an exalted message to the Bahá’ís of Iran, the Supreme Body celebrates increasing confirmations that the Faith “promotes and brings about the spiritual, moral, and intellectual progress of peoples.”
The much awaited film, “Glimpses of a Hundred Years of Endeavour”, has been released. The Universal House of Justice has described its purpose as providing a glimpse of “the vantage point of the heights to which the Bahá’í community has climbed, and from where it can now gaze upon new horizons.”
The Bahá’í world has been the blessed recipient of four messages from the Universal House of Justice in this spiritually charged time, directing our gaze towards the aims of the Nine Year Plan and the means for implementing it.
The Universal House of Justice conveys its “sense of wonderment at the exalted character of what transpired” during the recent events marking the centenary of the Ascension of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá in the Holy Land.
The Universal House of Justice offers a compelling testimony to the Master’s significance as the Centre of the Covenant and the Exemplar of His Father’s Teachings.
“In these uncertain times, the friends turn with hope and longing to ‘Abdu’l-Bahá, that ‘shelter for all mankind’, ‘a shield unto all who are in heaven and on earth’, beseeching His assistance from the realms above as they endeavour to follow His example in the path of service.”
The first local Bahá’í House of Worship in the Pacific has opened its doors. The Universal House of Justice marked the occasion with a message declaring: “This sacred edifice shines out as a beacon of light.”
A letter just received announces: “the House of Justice is happy to once again welcome pilgrims to the Holy Land starting from Monday, 17 January 2022.”
Three changes have been made to the English translation in the set of prayers “Twenty-six Prayers Revealed by ‘Abdu’l-Bahá”.
In response to the Supreme Body’s call, preparations are underway for conferences to be held in Aotearoa in the early months of 2022.
The Covid pandemic is still making pilgrimage to the Holy Land unfeasible, but there are encouraging signs that brief visits may soon be possible.
The House of Justice hopes the spiritual energy generated by Convention will find expression in the endeavours of friends throughout Aotearoa.
