The Universal House of Justice has shared a new compilation titled To Set the World in Order: Building and Preserving Strong Marriages, prepared by the Research Department at the Bahá’í World Centre. It seeks to provide Bahá’ís with a comprehensive resource that delves into the various facets of Bahá’í marriage, offering guidance, insights and reflections on the significance of this sacred institution.

The release of this compilation reflects the Universal House of Justice’s ongoing commitment to the well-being of families, and their role in building a just world for humanity. It underscores the Bahá’í teachings’ recognition of marriage as a vital institution that contributes to the advancement of civilisation and the establishment of unity among all peoples. The House of Justice has expressed that it is their hope this compilation will give new impetus to the ongoing efforts of the friends to deepen their understanding of this vital institution and that it will enrich their conversations about the essential role that the marital bond plays in the establishment of order, well-being, and unity in human relationships throughout society.

To Set the World in Order: Building and Preserving Strong Marriages contains twenty-three newly translated selections from the Bahá’í Writings, three revealed by Bahá’u’lláh and twenty revealed by ‘Abdu’l-Bahá; among the latter are several prayers. The compilation can be found online at the Bahá’í Reference Library by clicking on the button below.

This compilation will undoubtedly serve as a valuable resource for Bahá’ís seeking to deepen their understanding of marriage as a sacred institution and to strengthen the bonds of their relationships.

National Spiritual Assemblies with Publishing Trusts will in due course no doubt make printed editions available. French, Russian, and Spanish translations will also be made available in the future.
