Regional Bahá’í Council membership announcement
On 6 November the National Spiritual Assembly announced the membership of the Regional Bahá'í Councils for the 2024 - 2025 term. The announcement letter is shared below.

Announcing the membership for the new term of the Regional Bahá’í Councils

The National Spiritual Assembly is delighted to announce New Zealand’s Regional Bahá'í Councils for Te-Ika-a-Māui (North Island) and Te Waipounamu (South Island) for their one-year term of service commencing on the Day of the Covenant, 25 November 2024.
For Te Ika a Māui (North Island), the following believers will comprise membership of the Bahá'í Council (listed in alphabetical order): Roya Ebrahimi, Shirin Gabel, Aqilah Imtiaz, Aashish Indorewala, Andrew McNaughton, Brenda Miller, Sana Motlagh, Tevita Niupalavu, Robyn O’Connor.
For Te Waipounamu (South Island) Council, the following believers are appointed (listed in alphabetical order): Devon Gundry, Sama Hall, Ezra Hopkins, June Lim, Onna Tangifolau.
We invite individuals, communities, institutions and agencies to welcome these devoted servants to their role and to wholeheartedly collaborate with these precious institutions, so closely linked to the progress of the Cause during this Nine Year Plan.
The National Assembly expresses its abiding love and gratitude to Drisana Brown, Tezhar Paymani, Nina Perez, and Erica Zemke-Smith for their dedicated and sacrificial service on the Regional Bahá’í Councils. We offer heartfelt prayers for these dear friends and their families that the Blessed Beauty may continue to guide and confirm their endeavours in service to the Cause.
Dear friends, the National Assembly has full confidence in the capacity of the New Zealand Bahá’í community to extend the embrace of the Faith to an ever-widening circle of participants and we invite you to join us in offering prayers and support for the Councils, which will have major responsibilities in fostering this process.
